J2ME Wireless Toolkit by Sun Microsystems, Inc. is a development and testing environment for creating Java ME (J2ME) applications for mobile and embedded devices. It provides device emulators; build, packaging, and preverification tools for MIDP/CLDC MIDlets; and utilities for testing, debugging, and monitoring application performance. Developers can simulate device capabilities, including networking, messaging, multimedia, and security, and package applications for over-the-air deployment using JAR/JAD files. The toolkit includes both a simple graphical interface (KToolbar) and command-line tools, supports features such as the Push Registry and application signing, and can be integrated with common IDEs to streamline the development workflow.
